Job Title : Cath Lab RN Profession : Registered Nurse Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8 or 10 hours Hours per Shift : Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Cath Lab License : Active RN License (North Dakota or Compact) Certifications : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have : 2 years of experience in Cath Lab Experience in a large hospital, level 2 or higher Comfortable with administering conscious sedation Description : Provide nursing care to patients coming to the cath lab. Care includes cardiac catheterization with intervention, device implants, peripheral vascular work, stroke management, and care for structural heart, STEMI, and stroke patients. Comfortable with administering conscious sedation and using ACLS / BLS. Complete nursing assessments for patients. Utilize computerized charting and medication systems. Experience with specific equipment such as EPIC, CUPID, GE MAC LAB, EKOS, balloon pumps, IMPELLA, Angiovac, FFR, and IVUS is essential. Will work in a team with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 1 during procedures. Be available for call every 2-3 weekends and one night per week. Potential on-call hours with a team. No floating to other departments will be required. All clinicians must badge in and out when entering the facility. Scrub color will be provided. Previous experience with this organization must have a break of at least 6 months before reapplying. A cancellation policy allows for changes up to 12 hours before the assignment starts.
