PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Dallas, TX 75230 (Texas nursing jobs)

Facility : Progressive Care Unit (PCU), 16 beds

Assignment Type : Travel RN assignment

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : March 2, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1360 - $1460

Scrub Color : Royal Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

ACLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience

Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Ability to float to Medical Surgical (Med Surg) and PCU units as needed

PCU RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in a 16-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 1 : 4 nurse-to-patient ratio

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, techs, and charge nurses, to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; administer medications using Meditech EMR

Maintain compliance with unit guidelines, hospital policies, and dress code (royal blue scrubs)

Float between Med Surg and PCU units as required
