Key Responsibilities of the Med-Surg / Telemetry Travel Nurse

Deliver direct patient care to adults with diverse medical-surgical and telemetry needs.

Assess patient conditions, create individualized care plans, and evaluate clinical progress.

Administer medications and treatments while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Interpret and monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes promptly.

Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and ongoing health management.

Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and the broader clinical care team.

Complete accurate, timely documentation in accordance with facility standards.

Advocate for patient well-being throughout the continuum of care.

Requirements for the Travel Nurse Med / Surg / Tele Role

Valid North Carolina / Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Minimum of 1 year of Med-Surg or Telemetry experience.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills.
