Stantec is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of macro or small cell telecommunications projects, ensuring successful and timely delivery and profitability while meeting client KPI's. From planning and execution to monitoring and reporting, the Telecommunications Project Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating various project elements and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a Net Revenue target each year from multiple projects, often simultaneously. Every team member, including the Project Manager, will have billable hour targets established each year. Project managers have the following responsibility and oversight for their assigned projects :

  • Project Planning : Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, overall budgets as well as individual scope budgets, timelines, project risks, and resource management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project deliverables and milestones.
  • Draft and issue proposals or purchase order requests as needed, tailored to the clients needs.
  • Understand contracts and A&E contract requirements. Edit or issue contracts as needed to fit the project.
  • Execution and Monitoring : Following established best practices, maintain project folders and records. Lead project team through the execution phase ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Regularly update stakeholders on project status, milestones achieved, and any adjustments to the project plan. Provide exceptional customer service directly to client. Lead client calls as needed and manage client expectations, providing status reports and updates as needed. Ensure all required project close out documents are obtained.
  • Resource Management : Work with director and team to allocate and manage project resources efficiently to ensure optimal utilization. Work closely with team members, vendors and subcontractors to coordinate tasks and deliverables. Onboard subcontractors, issue service orders and manage vendor payments through MH's procurement system.
  • Budget Oversight : Develop and manage project budget, track expenses, maintain detailed financial records and accounts. Review financials to determine itemized percent complete as well as overall project percent complete. Provide monthly financial reports and forecasts to senior management in a timely manner. Identify change order opportunities, request and manage change orders. Provide oversight on project invoicing, collections and AR status.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders. Address stakeholder concerns and ensure customer satisfaction through the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance : Implement established quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet or exceed industry standards. Conduct regular reviews and audits to verify compliance with project requirements.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues to minimize their impact on project timelines and outcomes. Conduct site acquisition and / or project related tasks as required. Additional duties as required.

  • Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • 4+ years previous experience in Project Management with financial responsibility is required.
  • Proven experience as a Telecommunications Site Acquisition Specialist, Engineer, or Project Manager.
  • Proficient in MS Suite of products.
  • Experience with online document systems, such as Oracle and Siterra is a plus.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.

    Pay Transparency :

    In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

    Benefits Summary :

    Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term / long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law). Temporary / casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law. The benefits information listed above may not apply to union positions because benefits for such positions are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreements
