About Us :

Best Foot Forward is a nonprofit organization based in Boca Raton, dedicated to supporting foster and at-risk students in Palm Beach County.

We are currently seeking K-7 and 8-12 Academic Coaches to join our team! This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference!

Details :

  • Job Type : Full and Part-time (28 hours per week) positions available
  • Schedule : Monday - Friday between 8 : 00 AM and 4 : 00 PM (flexible within that window)
  • Location : Various schools across Palm Beach County (reliable transportation required)
  • Compensation : $21.00 - $25.00 hourly rate
  • Note : Our part-time position is not designed to supplement a full-time teaching position.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide one-on-one academic coaching to elementary, middle and high school students
  • Support students in developing organizational, study, and learning strategies
  • Track and review student grades on a weekly basis
  • Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to support student success
  • Support students in developing organizational, study, and learning strategies
  • Utilize various teaching techniques to match a student's learning style
  • Identify learning patterns and address academic challenges
  • Assist students with assignments and secure tutors as needed
  • Use incentives and goal-setting strategies to motivate student progress

    • Qualifications :

  • Teaching experience strongly preferred- required for K-7
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and patient
  • Ability to work confidentially and exercise discretion
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
