Position Description : The Business Development Manager - Food Service will serve as a credible, knowledgeable, and trusted resource to the Sales leadership team and lead sales initiatives with our food service brokers for Manda Fine Meats. The Business Development Manager-Food Service will work directly with the Sales Manager and Director of Food Service Sales. This is a remote position based in Memphis, TN.This position is responsible for developing key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans, hitting annual targets, building relationships, and understanding customer trends. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve financial targets. Responsibilities : PlanningDevelop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our food service customer base in the Memphis, TN market.Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives related to food service sales.Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, food service brokers, and distributors.OperationsManage and partner with food service brokers and distributors to understand their business needs and objectives.Make sale calls on both our current and prospective customers and distributors.Promote weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectivesMeet and / or exceed annual sales goals Understand category-specific landscapes and trendsBe able to grow our business with our current distributors while also creating new distributor relationshipsResponsible for selling Manda products to small family-owned businessesFocus on targeted account development to grow new businessRisk ManagementUnderstand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profileEnsure that record keeping meets the requirements of company policyReport risk issues to the Executive Vice President of Sales and Sales ManagerRecommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the companys sales performance.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned. Position RequirementsBachelors Degree or equivalent5+ years total sales experience, meat sales preferredProven ability to drive the sales process from plan to closeProven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and servicesProven ability to position products against competitorsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCandidates must be based in Memphis, TN to be considered.Bilingual in Spanish / English preferred.
