Summary Statement

The successful applicant will provide one or more of the following nursing services including, but not limited to, assessments of direct care and review of nursing care plans and other evaluative clinical documents; education on health and infection control issues; evaluation of health care facilities' infection prevention policies and their implementation; monitoring of CNA schools and other clinical training / certification programs and agencies to ensure compliance with health care regulations; promotion and protection of the health of the entire population; prevention of illness, injury, or disability; and / or facilitation of the delivery of health care services.

Essential Functions

• Provides or evaluates direct nursing care.
• Develops, implements and / or reviews nursing care plans.
• Provides health care instruction and guidance to individuals, families, community groups and / or nursing home facilities in the management of their health care needs.
• Maintains an effective working relationship with other members of the treatment team.
• Prepares and submits records, reports, evaluations and forms.
• Participates in and make recommendations regarding quality assurance activities.

This is a Casual / Seasonal position which is a non-pension eligible position without healthcare and / or other benefits.

Conditions of Hire

All new hires are required to attend an in-person, statewide mandatory New Employee Orientation on their first day of employment. The session will be held at a designated location in either Kent or New Castle County.

This position is a classification organized under an exclusive bargaining representative (labor organization) that has been elected by employees as their representative for collective bargaining and other applicable terms and conditions of employment, in accordance with Title 29, Chapter 59 and Title 19, Chapter 13 and 16. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement based on its individual terms.
