Technical Meat Processing & Physiology Specialist
Key Responsibilities :
2. Active member of Aviagen’s Meat Quality focus study group; and interact regularly with key members of the Aviagen Global Genetic, Technical and R&D Teams
4. Provide feedback to R&D team on :
a. how the products are performing at processing plant on a range of different bodyweight; b. opportunities to improve our products to maximize efficiency and yield at processing; 5. Propose and conduct subject relevant research internally and externally where appropriate to support Aviagen business.
6. Representation of USA & Canada in global technical discussion forums regarding processing, meat quality & physiology
7. International travel where required to further knowledge on subject
8. Development of contact network with key processing equipment manufacturers
Qualifications :
1. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science, Food Science, or related field. Advanced degrees and industry certifications will be an advantage
2. Technical Skills : Development of in-depth knowledge of broiler physiology and processing operations
3. Analytical Skills : Strong data analysis capabilities to drive informed decision
4. Communication : Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
