Responsibilities

This intern will help the Youth and Family Program Coordinator with planning, preparation, and implementation of a wide variety of summer programs at The Ringling Museum of Art. In addition, The Youth and Family Intern will conduct research and develop in-gallery activities for summer and future programs.

Responsibilities of the Youth and Family Intern will include :

• Helping to plan, prep, and implement summer programs such as ROAR!, Family Art Making, and Open Studio.
• Facilitating Family Nights at The Museum.
• Assisting with a multi-part teen program and helping to facilitate art making activities with a variety of age ranges at The Ringling.
• Researching and developing future programming and related materials that interest the intern.
• Attending weekly Education Team meetings and learning about other programs and opportunities within the Education department at The Ringling Museum.

Qualifications

Use Microsoft Suite programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Anticipated Salary Range

$15.45 per hour (40 hours a week)

Working Hours

Monday - Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM with a one hour meal period. Please note that there will be opportunities for evening and weekend hours based on the programming schedule.
