LVN Responsibilities
Administer care for patients in assisted living communities, nursing homes, and skilled nursing facilitiesAdministration and documentation of medicationsProvide resident care by federal, state, and local standardsFacilitate Care Plans as dictated by residents' medical professionalsAt times manage the activities of individual caregiversPromote the highest degree of quality care and services to our residents following the community policiesRespect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residentsRespect residents' confidentialityBecome familiar with emergency equipment and proceduresAttend all required training, in-service, and staff meetingsMaintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and the achievement of safe working practicesMaintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workersAdhere to all policies and procedures of the communityPerform other duties as assignedQualifications / Skills / Educational Requirements
LVN or state-specific licensed nurse credentialIn states where appropriate, must maintain certificationsMust be at least 18 years of agePrevious experience working with seniors preferred and desire to serve and care for seniorsAbility to make choices, decisions and act in the resident's best interestAbility to react and remain calm in difficult situationsAbility to handle multiple prioritiesPossess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understandingDemonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsMinimum of six (6) months experience working with seniors in assisted living, home health, independent living, hospital or long-term care environment and desire to serve and care for seniorsDecision-making abilities and acting in the resident's best interest, ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations, and possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understandingCompensation details : 30-40 Hourly Wage
