Application Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties

• Support and troubleshoot the firm’s core business applications, including Citrix, SQL Server, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Work closely with both internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues quickly, ensuring clear and professional communication throughout.
• Oversee the full application lifecycle—from packaging and deployment to updates and retirement—while following best practices and maintaining system integrity.
• Manage and fine-tune workstation and server images to ensure stability, consistency, and performance across all devices.
• Handle monthly security patching and respond to urgent vulnerabilities to keep systems secure and compliant.
• Monitor key systems and applications proactively to detect issues early and maintain smooth operations for all users.
• Act as a key escalation point for application-related problems and helpdesk tickets, delivering timely solutions, root cause analysis, and follow-up improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date and well-organized technical documentation aligned with internal policies and change management processes.
• Be available for after-hours support during maintenance, deployments, and unexpected outages as needed.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned, contributing to team success wherever possible.
