Assistant Superintendent
Position Overview
The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent in managing the day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves overseeing subcontractors, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent in planning and scheduling work activities on the job site.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor construction progress and report any issues or delays to the Superintendent.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist in managing project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are completed within scope.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets specifications.
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers.
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction management or a similar role.Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.Experience with Owner / Builder projects and General Contracting (GC).Familiarity with Type-III / Type-V wood framing techniques.Experience in high-density multifamily construction, particularly garden-style developments.Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Benefits
