Job Description : Opportunity : Parsons is now hiring an experienced Associate Architectural Specialist to work on designs for active and new transportation projects, including the Inglewood Transit Corridor in Los Angeles, the HART extension in Honolulu, the Austin transit project, and new transit projects for Seattle Sound Transit. In this role, you will perform a variety of architectural assignments by applying standards, practices, and techniques. You should be proficient in developing creative architectural solutions. This role can be based in either Los Angeles (Pasadena) or Seattle , with hybrid remote work (working from home 2-3 days per week). Responsibilities : Conduct architectural studies, develop design concepts, and prepare related reports. Review CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, models, construction documents, and color boards, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements. Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analyses. Write construction specifications and prepare requisitions for equipment and materials, interfacing with suppliers as needed. Review supplier drawings and samples, perform bid analyses. Coordinate with engineering and construction teams at project sites, review and approve detailed design and construction drawings. Guide lower-level architectural designers / drafters. Stay updated on current technologies through subscriptions and conferences. Prepare staffing estimates and execution plans. Education / Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent) and typically 5+ years of related experience. Skills / Competencies : Proficiency in architectural design standards, sketching, rendering, model-building, presentation drawing, CAD, and other relevant software.
