Job Description
As the Commercial Manager for Canada, you will have the opportunity to build ICL’s Growing Solutions business from the ground up. This role will require an entrepreneurial mindset and will be responsible for creating a strategy and team to grow the sales of the entire ICL crop nutrition portfolio including granular, water-soluble, controlled release, and liquid fertilizers. This will include customer relationship management and demand creation from the distributor to retailer and grower level and establishing distribution strategies for a broad portfolio of ICL products. This role will work closely with product portfolio managers, agronomy, marketing, and sales operations to ensure a positive customer experience and the highest level of commercial excellence. This role is a home-based position.

- Assess the Canadian specialty fertilizer market and implement a strategy to enable volume and revenue growth
- Lead the recruitment of a Canadian based sales, agronomy, and customer service team
- Responsible for maintaining and growing sales with existing key accounts
- Develop and implement a sales growth plan for market expansion within Canada and coach technical sales managers to achieve / exceed territory sales budgets across the ICL product portfolio
- Build relationships with existing ICL distribution clients within Canada
- Expand relationships and initiate sales with new ag input distributors and retailers
- Provide technical support to customers on the use of granular, liquid, water-soluble, and controlled-release fertilizers used in agriculture
- Develop and execute a sales and marketing strategy derived from the business plan including responsible management of company budgets
- Provide market insights on competitor activity
- Produce sales forecasts on an annual basis and monthly updates to support the ongoing S&OP process
- Fully utilize CRM tool recording customer interactions and review company reports to coach sales and agronomy staff directly responsible for calling on customers
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
BS degree in agricultural business or related field preferred with coursework in agronomy, soil science, and crop nutrition preferred; or equivalent education in business, finance, or marketing along with experience managing agricultural businesses10+ years of experience and demonstrated success with agricultural sales or leadership in markets such as plant nutrition and fertilizers, crop protection, or seedA strong sales background and proven performance in developing markets and introducing new products and servicesAbility to optimize logistics, warehousing, and other business expenses to maximize contribution marginExperience developing and leading high performing sales teamsDemonstrated ability to develop compelling business casesExperience coordinating cross-functional internal teamsExisting ag input distributor, retail, and / or large grower connections across CanadaMust be able to manage personal goals, and corporate objectives and keep a customer-centric focusExcellent oral and written communication skillsComputer skills to include : Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,Must have excellent decision-making and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to contribute and collaborate in a global ICL business and team environmentEnthusiastic problem solver with a can-do attitudeTravel Requirement : 60-70%What will set me apart?

Annual Bonus Target : 20%, subject to plan provisions.
