Description :

This position requires a registered nurse specializing in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience.

Charged experience is preferred.

The nurse will be responsible for the care of neonates, including those with various conditions such as prematurity, respiratory distress, and sepsis.

Familiarity with charting in electronic medical record systems, specifically Epic, is required.

The expected patient ratios will range from 1 : 2 to 1 : 4.

This role includes administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing developmental care.

The candidate should be comfortable performing procedures such as arterial line management and starting IVs.

Work hours will include weekends, and block scheduling may be necessary.

The successful candidate will be required to float to other units as needed.

Attendance during holidays is expected, with a commitment to working three out of five holidays per contract.

References from supervisors covering the past year will be necessary before starting.

This position is for a fast-paced environment that demands a strong clinical skill set and the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
