The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats a variety of communication / swallowing disorders but is not limited to aphasia, voice, speech / language, closed head injury deficits (cognitive, linguistic, memory, attention), fluency (including stuttering), aural rehabilitation, non-verbal (augmentative communication), oral and pharyngeal stage of swallowing. This is a casual position which will require two weekend shifts each month.
Responsibilities :
- Achieve and maintain productivity standards.
- Prepare necessary time records.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies (OSHA, TJC, CMS).
- Pursue professional growth and present educational programs.
- Perform job responsibilities in line with the organization's mission.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and professional records.
- Adhere to organizational policies, including HIPAA and Corporate Compliance.
- Provide appropriate speech pathology treatments and diagnostic services.
- Compile and report accurate data for program needs.
- Coordinate evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs for clients.
Qualifications :
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with specific course work and clinical practice in all previously mentioned areas within the scope of practice is required.Must have good communication and interpersonal skillsLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances :
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
