Position Overview :
Join our team as a Senior IT Support Specialist, where you will play a vital role in resolving diverse technical challenges faced by our users. Your expertise will directly impact our operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Respond promptly and courteously to incoming help requests from end users.
- Document essential user information, including name, department, contact details, and problem specifics.
- Establish a rapport with users to better understand and diagnose their issues.
- Prioritize and schedule incoming problems, escalating to senior technicians as needed.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot a variety of concerns.
- Access and leverage online resources such as software updates and knowledge bases to facilitate problem resolution.
- Stay informed about the software and hardware systems used and supported by our organization.
- Set up new PCs (desktops and notebooks), including hardware configuration, software installation, and user training.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical college, along with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.Ability to collaborate with senior personnel within the organization.Use sound judgment in determining solutions for various technical issues.Solid knowledge of computer hardware and software.Familiarity with desktop and server operating systems.Exceptional interpersonal skills focused on building rapport with users.Proficient research skills for troubleshooting complex computing issues.Able to present technical information in a user-friendly way.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent customer service orientation.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with various operating systems and databases.Knowledge of multiple programming languages.Physical Demands :
