Construction Project Manager - Institutional Education Projects

Compensation : $125,000 - $175,000
Overview
The Construction Project Manager will oversee multiple institutional education projects for a general contractor in the Greater San Jose area, working from the San Jose office. This role is responsible for managing all phases of project delivery, with a focus on commercial and institutional projects requiring DSA and OSHPD experience. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget, and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders throughout the construction process; most importantly the site team.
Must Haves
- Proven experience as a Project Manager for a General Contractor.
- Direct experience working with DSA (Division of the State Architect) and / or OSHPD (Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development) on regulated education projects
- Strong knowledge of California building codes and regulatory requirements
- Track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong contract administration skills with owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendors
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and financial reporting
- Proficient in risk management, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Proven ability to enforce safety protocols and ensure site compliance
- Authorization to work in the United States
