Core One is seeking a Technical Associate that will be responsible for researching developing and supporting the delivery of numerous SSD products and solutions. This role provides critical operational support across help desk network infrastructure and field operations. The position requires an adaptable proactive and self-starting team player who can track multiple needs at once and will be cross-trained across multiple technical disciplines. Strong communication in both spoken and written form is required in this hands-on position.
Primary Responsibilities :
Tier 1 Support & User Services :
- Provide first-line technical support for end-users handling troubleshooting requests password resets and access provisioning
- Identify root causes of technical problems and implement effective troubleshooting steps to resolve them
- Perform basic system administration tasks like user account management access control and system updates
- Provide technical training to end-users on new software applications and system features
Network & Infrastructure Support :
Monitor and maintain network infrastructure including routers switches firewalls and VPN configurationsAssist with network troubleshooting configuration changes and performance monitoringSupport project-specific network infrastructure under guidance of senior engineersAssist with the installation configuration and maintenance of computer hardware software systems and hypervisorsField Operations & On-Site Support :
Conduct on-site installations system deployments and hardware configurations at customer locationsSupport field operations and customer site engagements including multi-site deploymentsPerform site surveys equipment setup and customer handoff proceduresTravel as needed to support programs and client engagementsDocumentation & Collaboration :
Create and maintain technical documentation including troubleshooting guides knowledge base articles runbooks and process manualsWork with other technical teams to identify and resolve complex issues ensuring seamless system integrationStay updated on new technologies and product features to effectively support team operationsEffectively communicate technical challenges options considered and recommended solutions to senior leadersProfessional Development :
Participate in cross-training program across help desk network operations field support and system administrationEvaluate technologies and commercial products for potential customer applicabilityMust be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionQualifications
Required :
Associates Degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related fieldBasic understanding of computer hardware operating systems (Windows Linux) and common software applicationsWorking knowledge of networking concepts including TCP / IP DNS VPNs subnets and basic routingExcellent analytical skills to diagnose technical issues and identify solutionsClear and concise communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical users both verbally and in writingAbility to provide excellent customer service handling inquiries with patience and professionalismWillingness to travel and work on-site at customer locations as neededWillingness to learn and be cross-trained across multiple technical disciplinesDesired :
Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field1-3 years relevant experience in IT support network administration or field operationsExperience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologiesExperience providing training and support to remote usersHands-on experience with hardware installation and configurationFamiliarity with system administration and infrastructure managementKey Competencies

Based in Washington DC area with travel requirements up to 50% depending on project needs. This role provides extensive hands-on experience through customer site deployments and field operations including extended on-site assignments of 4-6 weeks during major installations.
