Salary : $100,000 - $160,000 per annum
I'm currently partnering with a fast-growing, people-focused transportation consultancy with offices across North America and Europe. The business is known for its integrated approach to transport strategy, planning and people-movement design within complex built environments. They work in niche sectors, including Sports and Aviation.
They are now seeking an experienced senior transportation professional to help shape the future of their expanding Houston team.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to step into a strategic and influential position within a small but growing U.S. group. You will work closely with the regional leadership team to guide long-term growth, contribute your own ideas and expertise, and reinforce the excellent reputation the consultancy already holds internationally.
In this role, you will :
- Lead and manage a range of specialist transportation planning and engineering projects, operating with autonomy and independent judgement.
- Oversee multidisciplinary technical teams, ensuring high-quality delivery across transportation assessments, masterplans, traffic / transport studies and technical reporting.
- Act as the senior point of contact for clients, design partners and external stakeholders.
- Take a proactive role in business development-cultivating existing relationships, establishing new ones, and preparing proposals.
- Represent the consultancy at conferences, seminars and industry networking events, helping identify new opportunities and elevate brand presence.

Essential Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of local, state, and federal transportation guidelines, standards and regulationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to manage and build credible client relationships, including new business developmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and make informed decisionsStrong organisational and time management skillsExperience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staffAbility to develop creative, multi-modal solutions to complex transport challengesDemonstrated experience delivering advanced transportation engineering / planning projectsExperience preparing technical reports and deliverablesFamiliarity with smart-city concepts, micro-mobility and emerging best practicesProficiency in Microsoft OfficeDesirable Skills
Experience contributing to targeted business development campaignsProficiency with HCS, Synchro, VISSIMGIS (ESRI), Adobe Acrobat, InDesignQualifications
