Certifications Required : BLS

License : Active TN or Compact RN license

Experience : Previous LTAC, med / surg, or critical care experience strongly preferred

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a night shift position at a Long-Term Acute Care facility in Bristol, Tennessee . This RN will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting a multidisciplinary care team focused on positive recovery outcomes for medically complex patients.

Key Responsibilities :

Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission

Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient condition and goals

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to coordinate care

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and patient responses

Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs, CNAs, and support staff

Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning

Promote a safe and supportive care environment for patients and staff

Maintain communication with leadership on equipment, training, and staffing needs

Serve as charge RN as needed following orientation

Support staff growth through mentoring and professional development

Requirements :

Active TN RN license or compact RN license

Current BLS certification (AHA required)

1–2 years of recent acute care or LTAC nursing experience

Strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills

Familiarity with electronic medical records and care documentation standards
