Now Hiring : Phlebotomist (Days)

📍 Location : New London Hospital – Laboratory Services | 273 County Rd, New London, NH

🕒 Schedule : Day Shift | 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 00 PM | 40 hours / week (Weekend & Holiday Rotation)

📅 Start Date : November 3, 2025

💼 Contract : 13 weeks

Pay package : $1570 weekly ($520 w2 + $1050 stipend)

Position Summary :

Join New London Hospital , a not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital and proud member of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health , serving 15 communities in the scenic Kearsarge / Lake Sunapee region of central New Hampshire. As a Phlebotomist , you’ll work both independently and collaboratively within the Laboratory Services department, performing high-quality blood draws across all patient populations—from newborns to geriatrics—while ensuring accuracy, compassion, and compliance with specimen requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on patients of all ages.
  • Maintain knowledge of test requirements and follow the correct order of draw.
  • Prepare, label, and process specimens for in-lab testing or off-site shipment.
  • Enter patient and specimen information accurately into the electronic medical record (EPIC).
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked work area and adhere to infection control standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate specimen handling.

Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years of current phlebotomy experience — Required
  • National Phlebotomy Certification Required (NCCT not accepted)
  • EPIC experience required — Non-negotiable
  • Must be proficient with pediatric draws — clearly noted on resume / profile
  • Inpatient phlebotomy experience — Required
  • Travel experience highly preferred
  • Must have own reliable transportation (limited local public transit options)
  • BLS (AHA) certification required
  • Must work two of the following holiday periods :
  • Thanksgiving + weekend after
  • Christmas Eve / Day + weekend after
  • New Year’s Eve / Day + weekend after
  • No local travelers (must reside 50+ miles from facility)
  • All RTO requests (max 5 days) must be included at submission — no exceptions
