- As a Respite Direct Care Staff , you'll help create a safe and supportive environment where participants can grow, learn, and build emotional resilience.
- Under the guidance of compassionate Life Skills Coaches, you'll assist in implementing goal-focused treatments to help kids thrive.
Position Status :
Full-time Non-Exempt Hourly range : $19-$22 Minimum qualifications : Bachelor's degree (preferred).Behavioral health experience (preferred).Must be at least 21 years old.Valid driver’s license, must pass a background check and drug test.Current fingerprint clearance card, CPR / First Aid certification, Clear TB test, and clear MVD Report.Must upkeep the following :
Fraud & Abuse, Driver Refresher, Self-Administration of medication training, and Emergency safety response training.Maintain all required annual training.Maintain all credentials up to date.Key Responsibilities Facilitate Group Counseling :
Lead engaging group sessions to promote emotional expression and peer support.Support Individual Development :
Assist children and youth in developing skills related to task completion, relationship management, and emotional regulation.Implement Treatment Plans :
Follow clinician-informed treatment plans to ensure each child's unique needs are addressed.Foster Therapeutic Relationships :
Build strong, trusting relationships with participants to create a safe and supportive atmosphere.Participate in Activities :
Organize and participate in meals, recreational activities, and outings, enhancing the communal experience.Provide In Vivo Opportunities :
Encourage real-time application of skills in everyday situations, helping participants practice and reinforce their learning.Travel with Participants :
Ensure safe and supportive transportation to and from the retreat location, fostering a sense of camaraderie among staff and participants.This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and youth, dedicated to promoting emotional well-being, and eager to make a positive impact in their lives.Work environment :
Gilbert office and learning homes Client homes and community settings Vehicle Physical requirements : Frequent sitting, standing, walking, driving, bending, reaching, and grasping.Lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds. Able to drive safely, including 12 or 15 passenger vans. Able to endure summer heat for outside outings.Able to implement non-violent physical emergency safety response tactics if a client presents a danger to self or others. Able to visually observe client behavior. Able to hear, understand, and interpret staff and client behavior.Able to read, understand, and interpret written instructions.
