Ambulatory Endoscopy Center of Maryland is an outpatient endoscopic facility specializing in colonoscopy flexible sigmoidoscopy and upper endoscopy. We have three GI procedure rooms with state-of-the art safety and diagnostic equipment, including the addition of Carbon Dioxide (Co2) Insufflation during colonoscopy. This is a Per Diem Position - Monday and Friday. Expected hours : 9 - 18 per week, depending on staffing needs. We are asking that all candidates be able to commit to at least two shifts / month . Pay : $42.00 - $44.00 per hour
Position Summary :
Pre-op duties include preparing a patient both physically and mentally before an endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy procedure, including taking medical history, verifying consent, administering pre-medication, point of care testing, providing instructions on bowel preparation if necessary, IV placement and monitoring the patient's vital signs prior to the procedure. The ideal candidate will also provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring their safety and comfort during the critical recovery period. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
