The Supervisor will lead a team of analysts responsible for Medicaid cost reporting and compliance support, with a primary focus on school-based Medicaid services. This role provides day-to-day oversight, quality assurance, client communication, and strategic support to ensure the accurate and timely submission of cost reports for Local Education Agencies (LEAs). The ideal candidate brings deep experience in school-based Medicaid programs, exceptional analytical acumen, and strong leadership capabilities.
Essential Functions

Supervise and mentor analysts performing cost report reviews, data validation, and technical assistance for school district providers.
Serve as subject matter expert (SME) in school-based Medicaid programs, guiding team execution and resolving complex issues.
Oversee quality and timeliness of deliverables, including desk reviews, variance analysis, and training sessions.
Review and validate escalated discrepancies and findings to ensure compliance with Medicaid policy and cost principles.
Lead development of training materials, SOPs, and knowledge-sharing tools for internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor adherence to reporting timelines, escalation procedures, and documentation standards.
Direct high-level review of Medicaid cost reports and reimbursement projections for accuracy and compliance.
Evaluate LEA financial data trends, providing strategic recommendations and corrective guidance.
Lead special projects and program assessments related to school-based Medicaid claiming strategies.
Partner with data teams to enhance templates, validation tools, and automation for reporting tasks.
Maintain professional relationships with school district staff, state Medicaid agencies, and federal partners.
Facilitate training webinars and meetings with LEAs to address emerging issues and policy updates.
Represent the organization in stakeholder discussions on program changes and funding strategy.
Lead responses to escalated client issues with a focus on quality service and timely resolution.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct supervision of analysts within the Medicaid cost reporting team.
Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support.
Oversee workload distribution, productivity tracking, and quality assurance across the team.
Work Requirements

Required Education And Experience
Required : Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Education Policy, or related field.
Preferred : Master's degree or CPA designation.
5+ years of experience in Medicaid finance, healthcare reimbursement, or public education finance.
Minimum 3 years supervisory or team lead experience.
Strong preference for experience with school-based Medicaid claiming or LEA cost reporting.
Consulting or direct support experience with state Medicaid agencies or public education systems is highly desirable.
Preferred Education And Experience
Deep knowledge of school-based Medicaid programs, cost reporting requirements, and IDEA-related service claiming.
Strong supervisory experience with analytical or finance teams.
Comprehensive understanding of state / federal Medicaid reimbursement regulations in educational settings.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Skilled in training development, client presentation, and translating technical content for non-financial audiences.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Comfortable managing remote teams and workflows in digital collaboration platforms.
