OSF Saint Francis Medical Center’s Dental Residency Program is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attending Dentist to join our esteemed team at the Medical Center’s hospital dental clinic in Peoria, IL.
You will play a crucial role in supervising dental residents, reviewing treatment plans, and managing patient care. Job Specifics
- Supervise dental residents and provide guidance in their professional development, primarily in the hospital clinic setting .
- In collaboration with residents and hygienists, develop, review and approve patient treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of residents' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in didactic / educational sessions to enhance residents' knowledge and skills.
- Proficiency in all areas of general dentistry, particularly (or especially) basic oral surgery and management of the medically complex patient.
- Comfortably treat patients in an operating room (OR) setting
- Participate in on-call duties alongside residents.

Qualifications
Requirements
DDS or DMD degree from an ADA-accredited dental School.Have (or be eligible to obtain) State of Illinois Dental License, Controlled Substance License, and DEA License.Preferably have completed GPR / AEGD or military dentist training.Experience working with emergency cases in a hospital setting is desirable.Proficiency in using dental technology and software.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.Uphold the Corporate Philosophy, Values, Mission, and Vision of the Sisters’ of the Third Order of St. Francis.OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
