About the Job :

Reporting to the Food Services Director, the Weekend Facility Coordinator is responsible for assisting staff and volunteers with preparing and serving weekend meals and cleaning the kitchen and serving areas, as needed. The Weekend Facility Coordinator supports staff and volunteers, assuring safety on OUR Center premises. THIS POSITION REQUIRES WORK ON MOST HOLIDAYS : 9 A.M. - 2 P.M.

Essential Duties :

  • Provides assistance to staff, volunteers and participants as needed.
  • Communicates clearly and respectfully with volunteers, staff, participants and donors.
  • Knowledgeable of OUR Center’s policies and able to articulate the policy to volunteers and participants.
  • Responsible for proper cleaning and sanitation of facilities.
  • Ability to lead kitchen operations when needed.
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and procedures.
  • Required to work some holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications :

    Education and Training :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience :

  • One year experience in Facilities Operations preferred.
  • One year experience in food services preparation preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Basic kitchen skills.
  • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

  • Prolonged periods of moving about in kitchen, café, market and surrounding areas.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of 50 lbs.
