Student Employee - Career Services Assistant

Workweek

20 hours per week - Schedule will vary depending on student's class schedule. Looking to hire for December, for training, but this is a Spring 2026 hire!

Position Summary

Support operations of the Career Services Center. Delivering exceptional customer service to employees, students, and all visitors by creating a pleasant and welcoming experience.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Provide front-office support for the Career Center; greeting, welcoming, directing and assisting internal and external customers, including students, alumni, and community members
• Perform an array of tasks supporting services provided by the department including scheduling appointments, working with the Hire a Scot platform, and assisting with resume reviews
• Assist with updating and maintaining the job postings, announcements, event information, career tips, etc. presented on the Career Centers digital display (PowerPoint presentation)
• Assist with event prep, setup, cleanup, etc.
• Excellent English communication skills
• Position may require some bending, stretching, and pushing or lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, walk, and stand up to 4 hours
• Ability to use Microsoft Office products
• Ability to use office equipment (fax, copier, etc)
