Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Outpatient Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in pediatric neurologically impaired populations and Epic proficiency.
Responsibilities
Outpatient pediatric speech pathology settingProvides care for pediatric patients with a range of speech and language disordersWorks as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside OT, PT, and local providersResponsible for evaluation and treatment of expressive / receptive language delays, apraxia, stuttering, AAC device use, social communication disorders, and autism spectrum disordersUtilizes Epic for documentation, Epic experience required8-hour day shifts, schedule of 4x12 hours per week50-mile radius restriction for candidates, local candidates not acceptedDiagnoses and treats speech and language problems in childrenPlans and conducts rehabilitative programs to improve communication efficiencyParticipates as a member of a multidisciplinary therapy teamExpected to meet all relevant state licensing requirementsMust be able to meet age-specific care needs for assigned pediatric unitRegular and predictable attendance is requiredRequirements
Master's degree in Speech Pathology requiredCertification with the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) requiredCurrent State of Idaho Speech Language Pathologist Licensure or temporary SLP Provisional Permit required (license required if applicable)At least 1 year of experience with pediatric neurologically impaired patient populationsExperience in evaluation and treatment of pediatric speech disorders, expressive / receptive language delays, apraxia, stuttering, AAC devices, social communication disorders, and autism spectrum disordersEpic EMR experience requiredBenefits
