JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Operations Educator of Onboarding is accountable for the provision of quality, outcome-based initial onboarding and practice support which promote competency and continuous development of newly hired caregivers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES
- Acts as a resource to newly hired critical care clinicians and members of the Clinical team by maintaining a knowledge base of current standards of care and evidence-based practice to ensure compliance with those standards.
- Use multiple approaches and sources of information to identify and validate caregiver learning needs.
- Incorporates teaching methodologies appropriate to the learner and the outcomes.
- Works closely with Clinical Operations, Operations and service line leadership to ensure the overall integrity of the entire orientation process for the caregiver team and provides clinical support.
- Assists with logistics related to initial clinical education courses.
- Provides instruction for new employee on boarding as directed.
- Coordinates equipment movement and set up for initial education needs.
- Supports initial and on-going new caregiver development (examples include assisting with orientation and on-boarding, initial clinical competencies, and progress assessments).
- Supports new caregivers from initial hire throughout orientation to foster continuous professional development and collaborates with appropriate teams to ensure all new caregiver development needs are met.
- Assists with clinical quality, credentialing and regulatory efforts related to new caregiver development and ensures constant state of regulatory readiness.
- Collaborates with GMR Learning for clinical Continuing Education Unit (CEUs) credits approval with state and national agencies.
- Collaborates with GMR Learning and Clinical Operations leadership in the identification, implementation, and revision of all initial educational activities to ensure compliance with all accrediting, regulating, and credentialing agencies.
- Collaboration with GMR Learning / GMR Simulation program to design, implement, and evaluate patient simulations as an essential part of the new caregiver learning experience.
- Communicates needs with Clinical Operations leadership for consideration in planning and collaborates to ensure spending is streamlined for efficiency and aligned with the annual budget.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience :
Five years of healthcare experience required.Three years of Flight experience required.Prior leadership experience preferred.Project or event management experience preferred.Education :
Current RN or EMT-P credential required.Advanced Certification in applicable discipline (FP-C or CFRN) required.Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
The ideal candidate will live within 2 hours (or approximately 75 miles) of Denton, TXDemonstrated ability to plan and execute strategic objectives in an efficient manner delivering positive results for the organization.Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to prioritize effectively and work with limited supervision.Must demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and be detail oriented.Must exercise a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.WORKING CONDITIONS AND MENTAL / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Working Conditions : Work is normally performed in an office setting. May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time. Onsite / Hybrid to assigned facility.
Physical Demands : Limited physical effort is required with some exposure to physical risk
Mental Requirements : Works alone or with others for extended hours. Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
