Pay Rate : $18.82 per hour

The City of O'Fallon is seeking a reliable and hardworking Custodian II to join our Facilities Maintenance team. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of City buildings and facilities.

Major Duties

Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; restocks supplies.

Cleans offices, including floors, blinds, and furniture.

Empties trash and recyclable materials.

Performs minor maintenance repairs and reports maintenance needs.

Unloads and inventories cleaning supplies.

Launders towels and mop heads.

Strips, waxes, and maintains floors.

Removes snow from sidewalks and building entrances.

Assists with meeting and event setup.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and methods used in custodial maintenance.

Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.

Skill in the use of custodial equipment and cleaning materials.

Skill in oral and written communication.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.

One (1) to two (2) years of custodial or facilities maintenance experience, or equivalent training (such as completion of an apprenticeship / internship).

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Missouri driver's license appropriate for the type of equipment operated.

• High school diploma or equivalent
