The Cardiac Management Solutions division of ZOLL Medical Corporation is committed to providing innovative products that protect and manage cardiac patients, such as the LifeVest® wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD). Heart disease poses a significant risk and is a leading cause of mortality in the U.S. Your role is vital in ensuring cardiac patients receive essential, life-saving therapy. To date, the LifeVest® has been worn by hundreds of thousands of patients, saving countless lives.

Preferred Candidates Include (but are not limited to) : RN, EMT, Paramedic, EMS, Firefighter, PA, LPN, MA, Phlebotomy, RCIS, CVT, EKG Technician, etc. All candidates will be reviewed on an individual basis.

Role Overview :

As a Patient Care Specialist, you will work independently to train patients on the use and care of the LifeVest®. This device is crucial for patients at risk of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), providing them with peace of mind while they continue their daily activities. This position is ideal for health professionals looking to supplement their income through part-time work. You will typically engage with patients in hospitals, providing training and support before they are discharged.

Key Responsibilities :

• Coordinate with caregivers and families to schedule training sessions.
• Be flexible in accepting assignments, which may occur during the day, evenings, or weekends.
• Travel to patient homes and healthcare facilities to provide training and support.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the correct use of the LifeVest®.
• Program the LifeVest® according to the prescribing physician's instructions.
• Measure patients to ensure proper garment sizing.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and signed by the patient.
• Transmit signed agreements to ZOLL within 24 hours of service delivery.
• Manage inventory of devices and garments.
• Disclose any family relationships with potential referral sources.
