What you’ll do

Gain hands-on experience in process engineering within a batch-based chemical manufacturing plant.

• Support day-to-day chemical production operations in a 24 / 7 manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with engineers and operators to identify and implement process improvements.
• Analyze production data to optimize processes—reducing waste, increasing yield, minimizing downtime, and maximizing throughput.
• Assist in the design, scoping, and execution of small-scale capital projects to enhance plant efficiency and safety.
• Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for process-related issues.
• Learn and apply safety, environmental, and quality standards in a real-world industrial setting

What makes you a good fit

An undergraduate student graduating in 2027 or 2028 pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering

Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret and visualize complex datasets

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

SAP experience is a plus

Henkel’s Summer 2026 internship program starts on May 27th, 2026, and runs through mid-August.

The salary for this role is $27-$31 / hour. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
