Aircraft Maintenance Planner
The primary purpose of this position is to plans, schedules and documents assigned aircraft through all phases of Air Force maintenance requirements and provides mission capable aircraft to meet operational tasking. Responsibilities include : performing work involving the preparation of plans for specific operations including scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance requirements; performing work involving the scheduling and dispatching of jobs in support of aircraft maintenance activities; directing aircraft through all phases of Isochronal / Phase / Periodic Inspections; performing automated tracking of maintenance data through the use of the Core Automated Maintenance System (CAMS) for airlift; preparing monthly aircraft maintenance plan and all reports relating to maintaining aircraft; and performing documentation duties involving temporary and permanent aircraft forms and documentation records.
Requirements include : meeting the general experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative; having at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems; and having knowledge of assigned aircraft maintenance operations, processes, policies, and procedures.
