Are you a seasoned Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) leader with a track record of success across multiple locations Emerson is seeking a dynamic Director of Environmental Health & Safety to champion our safety culture and drive strategic EHS initiatives across our manufacturing and distribution center operations. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing comprehensive EHS strategies ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering operational excellence. IN THIS ROLE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE :

• Develop and lead the execution of comprehensive EHS strategies aligned with Appleton Groups business objectives and regulatory requirements (OSHA EPA etc.).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate safety culture and performance across all sites ensuring alignment with Emersons corporate standards.
• Monitor analyze and report safety KPIs trends and performance metrics to executive leadership providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
• Ensure full compliance with federal state and local safety and environmental regulations proactively addressing risks and regulatory changes.
• Oversee environmental compliance programs including hazardous waste management air and water quality monitoring and sustainability initiatives.
• Lead investigations of incidents near-misses and property damage; identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies leading responses to audits inspections and compliance inquiries.
• Support capital projects by integrating safety planning and risk mitigation strategies throughout project lifecycles.
• Champion employee safety training programs and behavioral safety initiatives fostering engagement and accountability.
• Coordinate and facilitate all required safety and health training ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all locations.
• Build strong partnerships with operations leaders and employees to promote a culture of safety ownership and discipline.
• Assist in managing workers compensation cases including safety planning and return-to-work strategies.
