Our client, a leading engineering firm, is seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join their team. The Technical Writer will play a critical role in translating complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. This individual will collaborate closely with engineers, developers, and product teams to ensure all written materials meet the needs of both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analyze the target audience to ensure documentation aligns with user knowledge levels and expectations.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product marketing teams to gather and verify technical information.
  • Write and edit a wide range of technical documents including, but not limited to :

    • User manuals

  • Instruction guides
  • Technical specifications
  • FAQs
  • Online help systems
  • Tutorials
  • Developer guides
  • Organize and format content in accordance with industry and company standards.
  • Maintain documentation revisions and updates as needed.
  • Enhance written content with visuals such as diagrams, charts, and photos to improve user understanding.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Entry level experience as a Technical Writer or in a similar documentation role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to simplify complex information.
  • Strong attention to detail and a user-focused mindset.
  • Ability to think critically and approach information from an end-user perspective.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, Microsoft Word, or similar).
  • Familiarity with content management systems and version control tools is a plus.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science.
  • A solid portfolio showcasing previous technical writing work is highly encouraged.
