Job description

Overview

DHS Sales Executive, Associate Director – EY Government & Public Sector (GPS) team. Support US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) initiatives, focusing on identifying, qualifying, and winning large net-new competitive pursuits with emphasis on technology solutions. Based in the Washington, DC area (locations referenced include McLean, Baltimore, Arlington, and Washington).

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and lead generation (i.e., demand generation)
  • Develop and manage a multi-year sales pipeline
  • Client relationship management
  • Develop compelling win strategies and remain engaged through contract award
  • Sales presentations and process management, including developing and presenting gate review content for the qualification phase
  • Negotiations of teaming agreements with industry partners and terms / conditions
  • Spend approximately 80% of time actively engaging with clients
  • Spend approximately 20% of time on strategy and management initiatives

Qualifications

  • 10-12+ years’ experience as a business development executive
  • Proven record of selling complex technology solutions to C-level executives in the Federal space, specifically DHS
  • Established relationships across key federal agencies (e.g., ICE, DHS OCIO, USCIS FDNS, TSA, Coast Guard, CBP, law enforcement) with executive and mid-career professionals
  • Industry relationships with potential teaming partners, alliances, MBE / WBE small businesses, and competitors
  • Outstanding client management and relationship skills with strong executive presence
  • Solid understanding of the marketplace, competitive intelligence, and account information
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and resolving conflict
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ideally, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Team selling experience
  • Eligible for U.S. security clearance

  • Base salary range for this role : $200,000 to $385,000 per year. NYC Metro, WA, and CA variations exist (e.g., up to $437,500).
  • Hybrid work expectations : 40-60% in person for client-facing roles
