Summary

This is an industrial maintenance position, so no grounds. The technician will be repairing / fixing / troubleshooting / re -building any equipment in the building as well as possibly repairing some parts of the building. However, typically, if there is a small project, such as replacing a door or fixing a wall, outside contractors are hired to complete that work. The technician will be primarily tasked with ensuring our production lines continue to operate. This is not light manufacturing or construction, this is heavy manufacturing, it's dirty, smelly, and hard work. Our client is looking for the right fit. This will be contract to hire.

Shift

4 : 30pm-3am (M-TH) and some Fridays

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Troubleshoot and repair general maintenance problems in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.

2. Install conduit, wiring, lighting, compressed air pipe, water pipe, and dust collection pipe.

3. Familiarity with end mill and lathe is preferred but not required.

4. Must be capable of completing light fabrication duties unaided, including welding and use of cutting torches and plasma cutter

5. Perform various maintenance duties during the second shift as the need arises, such as re-lamping areas, resetting timers, replacing filters, plumbing, etc.

6. Assist in performance of daily preventive maintenance assignments on machinery.

• Jack stands must be used at all times for vehicles
• Trouble shoot with caution
• Upon diagnosing the problem, plan a safe maintenance method
• Read chemical labels after use
• Examine all tools after use
• Use lockout / tag out properly
• Use proper body mechanics
• Always be aware of surroundings and potential dangers
• Abide by confined space policy upon entering one
