Travel Nurse RN - Med / Surg / Telemetry - $2,025 per week in Clinton, MD

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Med-Surg / Telemetry Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day / Night Rotating Hours per Shift : 12 Hours Experience : Minimum 2 Years License : Valid State License Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS Must-Have : Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Description : This position is in a combined Med-Surg / Telemetry unit that provides care to patients with complex medical needs. The unit cares for patients who are adults and geriatrics. Patient diagnoses include cardiac, vascular, general medical, surgical, complicated wound, GI / GU, neurological, respiratory, renal failure, and immunocompromised conditions. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring cardiac telemetry and managing ventilator patients. Skills required include telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG, and emergency response. The nurse will also be involved in administering blood products and managing central lines. Previous charge experience is preferred. Weekend and holiday shifts are required. The nurse will float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. Ventilator experience is required. The facility supports interdisciplinary services including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Daily patient census for the unit is approximately 30. The unit has a total of 30 beds. Scrub color is ceil blue. Candidates may come into contact with patients diagnosed with COVID-19. All employees are required to receive the flu vaccine.
