Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 1 Job Responsibilities :
The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 1 provides safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and caring way while incorporating differences into the provision of care.Ensure improvements in practice by assuming responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning and provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource preceptor and mentor.Assists the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cath labPerforms psychosocial / physiologic assessments that integrate changing data as documented in procedure notes. Tailors and prioritizes caring practices to individual needs including cultural / ethical / spiritual needs.Participates in the planning of routine transitional healthcare needs (e.g. treatment options). Responds to changes in patient needs and provides holistic care.Assists the healthcare team with the documentation process. Formulates a plan of care based on trends of similar patients.Acts as a clinical resource and serves as a mentor to health care team members while displaying leadership behaviors. Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous years goals.May perform additional duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications :
Education : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing -OR graduate of an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology -OR Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.Certification :Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support from the American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire.Registered in one of the below unless a graduate of an accredited school of nursing :Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
Radiologic Technologist Vascular Interventional Radiology (RTR VI)Radiologic Technologist Cardiovascular (RTR CV)Radiologic Technologist Cardiovascular Interventional (RTR CI) required.License : If doesnt possess one of the above registries must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse within 12 months of hireRequired Experience :
