Cloud Architect III – Secure Cloud Strategy & Cybersecurity

Location : Maryland (On-site)

Clearance Required : Active Secret Clearance

Certifications Required : IAT II+ or IAM II+ (DoD 8570 Compliant)

Experience : 10+ years in secure cloud environments

Overview :

Do you thrive at the intersection of secure cloud architecture and enterprise-scale innovation? Quevera is seeking a future experienced Cloud Architect III to lead strategic cloud initiatives in a highly secure DoD environment. This is a critical role for a dynamic professional with deep expertise in cybersecurity compliance, hybrid cloud deployments, and multi-cloud architecture. Your work will directly support mission objectives, security assurance, and modernization efforts across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead architecture efforts for secure cloud environments, including on-prem, off-prem, and hybrid models
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and systems security analysis across cloud deployments in line with DoD cybersecurity requirements
• Serve as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for secure cloud solutions, ensuring compliance with NIST, DoD, and industry standards
• Support the evaluation and integration of Cloud Service Offerings (CSOs) , including XaaS solutions across multiple providers
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments
• Apply deep understanding of commercial CSOs and work with cloud providers to ensure secure service adoption
• Maintain alignment with cybersecurity compliance frameworks , contributing to risk assessments, remediation plans, and audit support
• Participate in cloud strategy development, ensuring solutions are forward-thinking and meet operational, technical, and security goals
• Document architecture decisions, standards, and best practices for knowledge transfer and continuous improvement
