We are currently hiring a School Social Worke r or School Counselor in L ake County, IL , for the 20252026 school year.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support early learners in a collaborative, student-centered environment. You'll play a vital role in fostering social-emotional growth and behavioral development among preschool and early elementary students, making a lasting impact during this critical stage of education.

Position Details :

  • Position : School Social Worker or School Counselor
  • Location : Lake County, IL
  • Grade Level : Pre K-2nd
  • Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 45am-3 : 45pm
  • Caseload : Approximately 20

Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and help develop service plans.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers.
  • Deliver both individual and small group counseling.
  • Maintain documentation and support compliance efforts.

    • Qualifications :

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or School Counseling.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker (SSW) or School Counselor endorsement required.
  • Experience working with early childhood or preschool-aged students.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and early intervention.
