About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Tax with a focus on multi-state, multi-tier partnership tax returns. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and resolving issues with complex tax returns, ensuring accurate reporting of various tax components, and overseeing the preparation and delivery of K-1s and other tax filings. This role also involves providing training to new hires, supervising and developing staff, and supporting special projects and tax-related initiatives.
Applicants must demonstrate advanced knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax concepts, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to prioritize and maintain strong organizational skills. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, along with at least 6 years of tax experience, preferably with a background in partnerships, real estate, and Section 42 exposure. The role demands a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with management and external professionals. Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel, are essential for managing and reviewing tax data.
