This role ensures the stability and optimization of the Workday Finance ecosystem post-implementation — resolving issues, maintaining configurations, supporting end users, and driving continuous process improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
Workday Financialscombined withhealthcare accounting and financial operationsknowledge, including areas likeAccounts Payable, Expenses, Supplier Accounts, and Accounting Center. Experience supporting large healthcare systems or hospital finance functions is strongly preferred.This role involves deep expertise in specific Workday Inventory and Workday Procurement functionalities. The role is for the 6 months beginning December 1st.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as theprimary point of contactfor production support ofWorkday Financial Management modulesin a healthcare environment.Manageday-to-day ticket resolution, troubleshooting, and user assistance through ServiceNow, Jira, or similar systems.Support configuration and maintenance ofAccounts Payable, Supplier Accounts, Banking, and Accounting CenterGrants, Budgets, Business Assets, Customer Accounts and ProjectsInvestigate and resolveposting issues, supplier payment errors, integration failures, and journal discrepanciesPerformroot cause analysison recurring financial or system issues; document and implement permanent resolutions.Support and testWorkday bi-annual releases— analyze new features, regression test impacted areas, and recommend adoption strategies.Partner with accounting, supply chain, and payroll teams to maintain accurate workflows, validations, and integrations.Assist withmonth-end and year-end close activities, ensuring transactions post correctly and reports reconcile.Create and maintainfunctional documentation, process flows, and user training materialsfor financial operations.Build, enhance, and troubleshootWorkday reports— including Calculated Fields, Matrix, and Composite Reports.SupportWorkday Security Administrationfor Finance roles, ensuring users have appropriate access for their functions.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, IT, HR, and Supply Chain) to implement process efficiencies and ensure data integrity.Experience in at least 3 of the following areasAccounts Payable (AP)GrantsSupplier AccountsBanking and SettlementFDM / Financial AccountingProjectsBudgetsBusiness AssetsFinancial ReportingQualificationsBachelor’s degreein Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.3–5 years of Workday Financials experience, including at least2+ years in production support or post-go-live operations.Strong understanding ofhealthcare accounting practices, including fund accounting, cost center management, and financial controls.Experience withticketing systems(e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) for issue tracking and resolution.Proficiency withWorkday reporting tools(Advanced Reports, Composite Reports, Calculated Fields).Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and provide excellent customer service.U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply.
