Unit : Telemetry Surgical Transplant (Transplant / Stepdown 61216)

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Hospital

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Weekly Hours : 36

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 27 / 2025 – End : 1 / 26 / 2026)

Number of Beds : 34

Patient Ratio : 1 : 3-4

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1470-$1570

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg or Telemetry nursing experience

Experience with Heparin drips (gtts) and Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA)

BLS certification (AHA)

Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Reliable, adaptable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred : Stepdown / PCU experience and solid organ transplant nursing (kidney, liver, pancreas)

RN Responsibilities – Telemetry & Transplant Nursing

Deliver high-quality patient care on the Telemetry Surgical Transplant unit

Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; respond promptly to changes in patient condition

Administer medications, including Heparin drips and PCAs; perform wound and drain care (wound vac, chest tube, JP)

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Accurately document patient care in Meditech EMR

Utilize advanced clinical equipment : bladder scanners, EKG machines, AccuVein, patient lifts

Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
