Your Responsibilities Will Include :
Delivering occupational therapy services as directed by the consumer's physician for adults and adolescents dealing with head injuries, spinal cord injuries, chronic pain, orthopedic rehabilitation, and neurological behavioral issues as part of a collaborative team.Conducting evaluations, recommending equipment for patient discharge, formulating treatment plans, preparing progress reports, and maintaining daily documentation while coordinating external resources as necessary.Creating treatment plans that address basic and instrumental activities of daily living, home accessibility, adaptive equipment needs, visual assessments, pre-driving assessments and training, functional mobility training, community integration, and providing family education. Vocational adaptations may also be part of the services offered.Designing home exercise programs for long-term patients and providing training for restorative aides.Utilizing departmental equipment effectively to meet consumer goals and needs.Work Schedule :
On-Call Position : Flexible hours as required, Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m.No weekends or holidays required.Coverage for vacations or during high census periods.Qualifications :
Current NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR), with a minimum Bachelor's Degree.Valid and current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Michigan.Preferred experience of 2-3 years in working with Neurological disorders, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, and / or Orthopedic injury.Our Commitment to Diversity :
