Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in California requiring an active CA RN license and prior IR and Cardiac Cath Lab experience.

Responsibilities

Work in an Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting

Day shifts, 3x12 hours from 6 : 30 to 19 : 00

Weekend coverage required every third weekend

Patients include those requiring specialized IR procedures and cardiac cath interventions

Use of Epic and Cerner EMR systems

No blocked or self-scheduling options

Responsibilities include providing nursing care during IR and cardiac catheterization procedures

No RTO (requested time off) allowed during the first two weeks of assignment; all RTO must be submitted with application and cannot be changed after submission

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Candidates must have been gone for at least one year to be eligible to return as a traveler

Module completion required both pre-start and annually, with self-reported hours

Team-based environment with collaboration among IR, cath lab, and hospital staff

Holiday coverage and floating may be required

Requirements

Active, valid CA RN license (EMSA not accepted) required at the time of application

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of recent IR nursing and Cardiac Cath Lab experience required

Cerner and Epic charting experience required

Must pass a pass / fail EKG exam (up to 3 attempts allowed)

Two supervisor references from the past two years required

No first-time travelers accepted

Must have at least one year of full-time specialty experience in the past two years in an acute care setting
