Electrical Engineer IV

Work Schedule : Hybrid (On-site : Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | Remote : Wednesday, Friday)
Position Summary
The Electrical Engineer IV will oversee the design of Liquids Pump Station facilities for expansion and maintenance capital projects executed by third-party engineering firms. This role ensures compliance with company standards, industry codes, project budgets, and schedules. The Electrical Engineer IV will collaborate closely with Project Execution, Operations, and Shared Services teams to ensure project and corporate requirements are integrated into design deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all pump station facilities are designed in compliance with applicable regulations, industry codes, and corporate standards.
- Manage execution of design deliverables by third-party engineering firms, ensuring alignment with project budgets and schedules.
- Design electrical components and interconnects for pump station facilities.
- Review and approve design deliverables, including drawings, technical reports, and material listings.
- Participate in design review meetings with engineering firms, Project Managers, Operations, and Construction teams to discuss scope, design, expected performance, and constructability issues.
- Review vendor material quotations, prepare technical evaluations, and recommend selections based on technical merit, cost, and delivery timelines (e.g., pumps, motors, vessels, buildings, generators, piping, valves, and fittings).
- Identify, document, and communicate lessons learned and quality incidents for assigned projects.
- Support department initiatives as required.
Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience.Preferred :
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong problem-solving skills using industry standards, previous experience, or modification of standards.Effective communication of technical issues to both technical and non-technical staff.Working Conditions
Approximately 80% office-based, collaborating with multiple project teams.Approximately 20% fieldwork, supporting project scoping, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.Work involves time-sensitive deliverables.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications required.
