Independent Contractor (Direct Support Professional)

We Need : InReach is looking for an Independent Contractor / Direct Support Professional for a male individual with intellectual and / or developmental disabilities in Charlotte, NC 28226. The Independent Contractor will provide Respite services.

What You'll Do :

  • Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
  • Help individuals identify and acquire valued social roles.
  • Facilitate community integration.
  • Help individuals develop healthy social habits.
  • Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
  • Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license and maintain safe driving record
  • One to two years of experience with the I / DD population preferred

    • Hours : Mon-Fri : 7p-10p

    SAT / SUN : 9 AM - 9 PM

    Location : Charlotte, NC 28226

    Pay Rate :

    Respite : $16.07 / hr

    Job Type : Independent Contactor / 1099

    • All InReach applicants are required to have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check.

  • This DSP position is an Independent Contractor position. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
