Applied Machine Learning Engineer / Remote

A seed‑funded startup focused on maritime domain awareness is looking for an Applied Machine Learning Engineer to build, deploy, and experiment with robotic AI cameras that can run 24 / 7, zoom in 7 nautical miles, identify activity, read vessel numbers, and theorize the causation of maritime activity.

This highly autonomous role is perfect for an engineer who is flexible and works across machine learning and perception tasks. The engineer will work with computer vision and senior fusion models, build inference pipelines, design experiments, and fine‑tune production behavior.

Required Skills & Experience

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD)
• US citizenship is required
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Experience with edge or embedded ML deployments
